So- i'm Muslim, and fasting is a very important part of my religion. Lately- it's been stressing me out, because Ramadan is approaching, and I want to loose weight- and not be put into a starvation mode coma.

How many Muslims have you seen drop into a coma over Ramadan?

    Exactly.

Stop panicking - the human body is designed to handle fasting.

Starvation mode is totally real. Your body is biologically designed to send out stress hormones through your body when it feels that you cannot get adequate food. Your body has no clock, thus, when you go long periods without eating it starts to freak out. I would not worry too much about this however if you are eating adequately at night. Your religion is important so I would never advise you to break that.... I just advise you to make sure you are hydrated throughout the daytime and eat sufficiently at night.
