Losing stomach

Any tips on losing the stomach? I workout everyday, eat right, but my stomach is just there. It just won't leave lol. So I'm asking, if anyone has any other tips on how to lose the belly. I had my baby 10 months ago & I want to get back right.

You can't spot reduce on your body; overall fat loss will lead to a reduction on your body, including your stomach. A lot of posts I've read here have said that the stomach can be one of the last places to lose from, though.

Unfortunately us gals store a lot of fat around our midsection :-( As you've already been advised, you can't spot reduce fat so just concentrate on burning the calories to reduce fat overall.

When you say you workout everyday, what exercises are you doing? A mixture of strength and cardio will be your best bet - cardio tends to burn more calories in a given period of time, but the stronger you are (the more muscle you have) the more calories you will burn when doing any exercise.

Also, do you use a heart rate monitor? It could be worth you looking into heart rate training - this is where you try and stay within a certain heart rate range to stay in the "fat burning zone". There are some ood books on the subject, and probably websites too.

You cannot "spot reduce" on a particular area, as nice as that would be. What you need to do is continue doing what you're doing so you can lower your overall body fat percentage. Every person's body is different so we're going to lose fat from certain places first and other places will take a lot longer to come off.

Eat healthy foods (try to hit your macros but try not to go over on sugar and sodium). Exercise so your body will burn more fat and less muscle (it's also nice to get stronger). Make sure you measure or weigh your food so your calorie intake is accurate. As for calorie burns, I don't recommend eating back more than half of those calories because of underestimation in calories eaten and overestimation in calories burned.

Do this for a few weeks but if you start to get stuck it might be good to do a "maintenance mode" week. This can help reset your metabolism especially if your calorie intake is low. And then when the week is over go back to what you normally do until you reach your goal.

I'd like to know this myself. From what I've read and have been told, it's all about eating whole foods 75 to 80% of the time and cut out sugar. This paired with strength training and cardio. I have to admit, I'm not that great at this.

No need to cut out sugar unless there's a medical need. Sugar/fat/carbs/ect do not equal extra fat. Excess of calories causes extra fat.

For me my stomach was the last to go and I am still working on it. It has taken a long time but I am now starting to notice abs :-) I used to think that after having 3 children my stomach would never be the same again but now I think differently!
