Good article on myths in the Times - http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/health/diet-fitness/article4118509.ece

Myth 1 - Always eat breakfast - Instead Changing habit matters more than eating/skipping breakfast.

Myth 2 - Set moderate weight goals - Instead Be ambitious - go for a big leap in your weight change - you are more likely to lose weight as a result.

Myth 3 - Crash diets are less successful than steady weight loss - Instead start strong with whatever you are doing, and watch those numbers be more likely to stay off.

Myth 4 - It is better to eat several small meals a day for weight loss - Instead you actually lose more weight on 2 meals a day!

Myth 5 - Very-low-calorie eating slows down your metabolism long term - Metabolism only really changes in the short term to lower calories.

Myth 6 - Diets based on fasting will make you feel faint - Not fainted yet!

Myth 7 - Juicing diets are a good way to lose weight - Please please please give up this dangerous fad.

Myth 8 - Two litres of water a day will help weight loss - Even MfP encourages this, and yet the evidence is weak except maybe for Ice Cold (and I mean Ice Cold water). But soup, that is a lot more interesting.

Myth 9 - Being overweight is unhealthy - Just reading the book on this, but it seems BMI between 25-30 lives longer! - Very overweight or very underweight is the worst though.

Myth 10 - Any exercise will lead to weight loss - Instead, you gotta to change your diet.
