I had to make some sort of introduction.

Wow, this site seems amazing and not really sure where to start or how to make some friends. Hopefully some of you are runners and don't mind sending a friend invite. I would love to have some experienced people to learn from, and stay motivated during the cold months...oh no!

I would also love to get into some strength training in the winter, but totally lost on that. If anyone can help with advice, and anything, PLEASE help. I have a gym membership I started but it is all so intimidating. I just hop on cardio equipment but am not brave enough to try the machines or weights.

OK, that's a totaly newbie for you!! Thanks for reading and look forward to making some friends!!!

    welcome! there are a lot of runners and aspiring runners here :)

    my advice for starting weights is to start with a simple circuit with light weights, then when you feel more comfortable you can add weight and reps, start using the machines, etc.
