Hi

When you upped your calories to maintenance, did you notice a big change in your cardio and your lifting?

for sure...I am not at maitenance yet and I have found my lifting numbers are increasing esp my upper body lifts like my bench and my OHP. I have stalled at 120lbs for a while but moving to 130lbs Wednesday since I nailed 128.5 on Friday and my OHP is at 90lbs.

I have tonnes more energy for cardio (aka biking) after lifting as well.

I have another 100 calories a day to add after this week...50 calories a week so I can get used to it.

    Sounds awesome!
Thinking about doing a recomp instead of deficit for another 3-5lbs... My OHP has been stalling for long, and so has my running PB. I am beginning to be impatient because my fitness goals are compromised by my fat loss goals.

I started maintenance last Thursday night, but I only lift on Monday and Thursdays mornings, so I can't say what effect it will have on my lifting. But I do seem to have more energy doing cardio. I've been eating like crazy, so I have had to do a lot of cardio too. But so far I've held steady around 175 pounds. I'm sure it will take me a few weeks to settle down to steady calorie input. I look forward to the challenge.
