It's Friday! Let's spread the cheer!
It's Friday!!!
For me, it's been a long miserable week. But this morning I woke up feeling positive and renewed.
So let's share: What was one of the hardest things you overcame this week? And what is one thing you are most proud of accomplishing?
For me, the hardest thing was accepting that I've got ahead of me my first holiday season to make it through without someone I cared for very deeply due to a break-up. It'll still hurt as each holiday passes but I'm positive I'll make it through.
On the positive side, I was able to log every day this week and stick to my healthy lifestyle changes. There were days I didn't want to get up and Zumba or workout and some days I didn't want to make healthy choices. But I did. I did it every day this week!! I'm so proud of myself!
Now that I've shared, what about you? Let's share our toughest moments and our proudest moments of this week!
Cheers,
Katie (aka Kekibird)

Hardest Thing...Getting motivated to work out. I haven't been sleeping well this week...lots of work-related things on my mind...so I wake up tired and lethargic :S
Proud Thing...I put on my belt this morning and went to the last hole without blinking an eye. I think I actually need to put a new hole into it...when I bought the belt a couple of months ago I could barely get it on the second hole!!
This whole weight loss thing is WORKING!!!!0 -
Hardest thing: Going to the dentist to get a cap on my tooth. Lots of novacainne (sp?), drilling, and poking/prodding as well as some post-pain.
Positive thing: Getting caught up on grading all of my students' papers!

the hardest thing i overcame this week is that even during my TOM, with cramps and everything, i actually went out and exercised! in the past i've used cramps and my lack of energy at TOM to limit myself. i've called in sick to work, i've chickened out on exercise that i've promised myself i would do, and just generally used it as an excuse to sit around and eat and do nothing. but not this week! i pulled up my big girl panties and i got my exercising in!
my most proud accomplishment for this week kind of goes in hand with the first bit for me. i finished day one and day two of Couch to 5K (day three is tomorrow) and while on day two i went a little shorter than i usually do and i didnt jog all the jogging intervals because of lack of energy from TOM. i DID do it and i didnt let myself get discouraged and i even enjoyed it!0 -
Realizing that I made A CHOICE to exercise even when my day was full of activity and duties.......downside my sore aching arms LOL0

What a great thread idea!
The hardest thing I overcame this week: My fiancée lives out of state (and has for the past year ), but is moving here beginning of Dec. The hardest thing to overcome every week is not getting in my car and driving the 8 hours to his house, and flipping my job the bird.
Most proud of accomplishing: I sold two houses! My job is in real estate consulting, and its commission based so you 'eat what you kill.' I've been a little nervous, people stop buying houses around the holidays, so I wanted to squeeze a couple more to make up for the lack of income the next two months will bring.
Katie, you should be so proud! Its easy to fall off the wagon when stressed or when you're having a bad day/week but it sounds like you did great! Break ups are hard, even more so around the holidays when you really want to share that special time of year with someone. I hope you have lots of family support and the more good, healthy choices you make, the better you'll feel! :drinker:0 -

wow!!! Great work on the weight loss and congrats on the belt! Hahahah!! Sometimes it's the little things that make you stop and say "Wow! I'm really doing it!!"
Crossing fingers you get some sleep this weekend.

Yay for getting the grading done! As a teacher in my past life (aka before my son) I was the weird one. I LOVED grading papers! Hahah! Congrats on getting it done!
Hope your tooth feels better soon. Not a fan of the dentist either so I can feel your pain.

What an inspiration!!! TOM is one of those automatic excuses for a lot of women so it's great to hear and see you moving and working through it. And congrats on getting up and finishing the first two days of Cto5K.

Wow Hannah, you've had a big week! Two houses?? That's great! Congrats. A great thing to be proud of
Hang in there, December is around the corner! And thanks for the positive words. Been really down the last 2 weeks and today is the first day I'm feeling brighter and more positive. I want it to stick so I'm working on making it happen :smooched:

Hardest thing? Craving pizza, having the calories to eat it, and *not* buying it because of the sodium.
Happiest moment? Getting under 250 for the first time in a long time!

Congrats Ryan. That's a great feeling to be under! And I can understand the whole fighting off a craving thing. Good work!!!

Hardest thing: making self work out Wednesday when I was so tired! Watching my boyfriend devour Doritos when I soooo wanted to eat some too!
Best thing: fitting into a smaller size today!!!
