Hey All,

I'm about where I wanna be. About 2.5lbs. from my goal. I had MFP set to a 2lbs. a week weight loss. A couple weeks back, I switched it over to 1.5lbs. a week. Today, I changed it to just 1lbs. a week weight loss.

My question...
For those of you that have upped your calories as you've approached your goal, how has this worked for you? My gut tells me that I should stay at 1200 calories per day but the science of MFP says that I should still lose at 1500 calories per day.
Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

  • 1 lb. a week is the smartest way to go about losing weight anyway, so I'd recommend giving it a shot. When you reach your goal, you have to eat to maintain weight, not lose it. Remember that!
  • follow the MFP. when you get where you want to be find out what your maintenance intake is on a daily basis with the your regular exercise routine.
