vegetarian weight loss

Hi! I'm looking for vegetarian/vegan friends to help along this journey. I've been a vegetarian for over 16 years and I love it but it can difficult to lose weight, especially when eating out. A girl can only have so many salads before going crazy. I've done it before but not by the healthiest of standards so I'm looking for help and people in the same boat. (Fyi, my vegetarianism doesn't include chicken, turkey, fish etc. To me, it doesn't but I know some people that do so clarifying now) Feel free to add me if you're in a similar position.

I was strict vegetarian for 3 years, and realized it was very hard to have a high protein diet when trying to lose weight. I'm now a polo vegetarian, so I eat chicken 6 days out of the week and still go meatless on my cheat days. That's in addition to adding greek yogurt, peanut butter, cheese, and a protein shake. Kudos to you if you're able to do it! Feel free to add me if you're okay with polo vegetarians ;)

    "POLO VEGETARIAN"?? :ohwell:

I have to say that plenty of protein is available..without eating a dead (or live, for that matter) chicken.

Add me if you like...I eat no animals.

Check out "Groups". 'Happy Herbivores" is full of great people and has some of the best veg recipes on the planet Earth.

I not a vegan yet but slowly reducing my intake of fish. If you need more protein or food that keep you full sooner I found suggest the following item to consume. They offer a good amount of protein and fiber intake.

    Quinoa
    Lentils
Beans: Black, Kidney, Pinto and etc
Beyond Meat Chicken Strips-which is planet base that offers 20g of protein
    Brown Rice
    Wheat berries
