SO I have lost 70 lbs now and have 18 more to lose to get to my goal, I know that since im close to my goal its harder to lose weight. So am not losing like anything now and I read that I should set my goal to lose 0.5 lbs a week and eat that many calories. The problem is it seems high its telling me to eat 1950 and eating more seems backwards to me.Is this correct??

Don't really know your stats to be able to say what you should be eating. BMR, TDEE without exercise would be useful numbers.

If you aren't currently losing, then no, don't eat more. Online calculators are less accurate for people who have already lost a lot of weight. Always go with what actually works over what a website says SHOULD work. And while I don't know your stats, 1950 does sound high. I'm a 5'11" 176 pound man and calculators tell me to eat 1900ish.

part of the issue with not losing now is you are probably eating more than you think anyway....

based on your diary you don't weigh all your solids and measure liquids....

Get a food scale and get more accurate esp now that you are close to goal.

Agreed, hard to know without knowing your stats. I'm at my last 20lbs (18 lost). I'm 5'6, BMR is 1509 calories so I'm eating around 1600-1700 and still losing.
