Good morning all,

Here's our weigh in this week, guys. Congrats to our biggest losers and also to everyone for your hard work and dedication.

Week8.jpg

It's a new week with a new beginning and so many great things lie ahead of us. This morning I got early-have not done that in a while- at around 6:30 am. This is a new beginning for me and am so excited. Tonight is more church volleyball games for me- I'm turning into one volleyball playing machine... hehehe..

What are your goals and plans this week?

Have a wonderful day everyone!

My goals for the week are to log all of my food.

I invented a new muffin recipe this morning. If you don't have leftover oatmeal, just put 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal and 1 c. water in a bowl in the microwave for 1 minute. I put this in the food database as Mary's Oatmeal Muffins - 143 calories each.

    Oatmeal Muffins
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • ½ cup Splenda
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 cup applesauce
    • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
    • 1 cup leftover oatmeal
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    Directions
    • In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder and baking soda. In another bowl, combine oil, eggs, oatmeal, raisins and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and stir just until moistened (the batter will be thin). Spoon into 12 greased muffin cups. Bake at 350° for 18 minutes or until the muffins test done. Yield: 1 dozen.

Hi all...Congrats to everybody for a great week. My goals this week are to go to my bootcamp class all 4 days even if I have to work the night before to get all my typing done before class. I am having a hard time juggling my work schedule with my class. I know I can make this work. I will log my food every day this week. Our last official weigh in for the class is this Friday and then we have our banquet on Saturday. We will continue on exercising a few days a week through Christmas and then start back 4 days a week in a new boot camp class in January. I would love to lose at least one more pound for the final weigh in, two would be great. As of right now, I am down 10.5 pounds since we started on September 13. Hope you all have a great Sunday. My niece is graduating from her paralegal program on Sunday so I won't be back on til Monday.

    Mary the muffins look yummy.

I bottled some pickles yesterday. That was a first for me. I got 30 lbs of cucs from the co-op, I took my daughter with to help me pick stuff up yesterday and she had a blast. She kept saying, that is worth it, all the way home. We got persimmons. I had never tried them before. Yummy!

Hope you all remembered to turn back your clocks--if you are supposed to. Have a great Sunday!

    Hi Everyone,

I'm just popping in to say good job everyone. My goals for this week are to drink more water and to up the exercise. I've also changed my username to UltimateLover but it's still me (Katie).

I'm trying to keep a bit more secrecy for the blogs that i've just started writing that are really personal and could be really bad if anyone I know finds them.
  • Good Sunday evening all! I keep forgetting to weigh in on Fridays. I did this morning and was down just a bit!!! YEAY!!! I am going to try and get that done on Fridays and get it turned in!

This week end has been beautiful around here in Colorado. However a cold front is to move in tomorrow night into Tuesday.

My hubby and I have decided we are going to start walking as soon as we get home at 4 before it gets dark and as it gets colder, that will be better.

So my goals for this week are to drink more water, and start back into my walks! Along with CURVES 3 times. I hit my goal last week. YEAY!!! The manager went to CAMP CURVES in Vegas last week and learned some new stuff. I could really feel it after she had us correcting stuff.

Hope everyone has a great week!
    Ann

    Good morning all,

Another week starting and so many great plans ahead. I have a 4 hour volleyball class tonight- and I think I'm beat just thinking about it. But- it should be fun. I'm excited to re-commit to my healthy lifestyle and to be kind to my body by giving it the best care. Went shopping yesterday with family for some outfits.

Have a great day all, and keep taking great care of yourself!

Wpke up at 4:30 with a raging migraine but I think I am still going to try to do something today, no Zumba tonight they are just doing a meet and greet kinda thing but I might still go because another friend of mine wants to start going with me and she wants to go meet people.

My goals for this week are besides the obvious of finding a job are to get my water in and atleast 4 workouts by Friday.

    Hello Hello beauties!

It's a hail-ey day here in NYC, the kind that makes you want to snuggle up and eat everything in sight. As it gets colder and darker (thanks daylight savings) I'm going to have to work a lot harder managing cravings. I go into bear mode and try to store for the winter. But I'm not going to!

My goals for this week are to be an all star on Ramp it Up! (the second level of the Slim in Six program and really track every little thing. And try not to just pick at food all day and actually eat full meals.

    Hope all is well!

Hi all...Had my son's soccer banquet tonight at Pizza Inn so of course I ate too much. I missed my class this morning because I had to get my work done by 2:00 (still didn't get it finished on time). Tomorrow is going to be sunny and 73 here so hope to get in a hike and enjoy some sunshine. Hope you all have a great day.

    Good morning all,

Got home last night at 11:00pm from 4 hours of volleyball. I think that will be my last night class because getting home so late is killing my sleep. I plan on working on my schedule so that I can invest time on getting a workout in the morning. It's time to get back to basics for me.

    Take care all!

Headache is finally gone. I am going to donate plasma today then get my run in after that. I can definatly feel a change in my pants but I still don't want to get on the scale yet. I Am afraid that if it hasn't moverd I will get discouraged so iamjust going to go my how my cloths feel

smadag, stay off of the scale! When your clothes won't stay on anymore then feel free to get on...but until then keep setting yourself up for success! The most important thing is to feel good about how you look and feel not what the number is on the scale! Keep up the great work!

Back to basics...I need it too. The time change has helped me get up a little earlier, but now I just need to make sure I get my fruits and vegies! I have not been eating very well lately. Yesterday we finished canning pickles and I rather snacked on everything instead of eating what I should have been.

    Keep "bringing it!" Everyone!!

Done with everything I set out to do today. Went to the high school track and worked out while the fire fighters did their workout. I don't know why but it felt cool to be working out while the firefighters were there. I guess I was just proud of doing something good for myself.

Just got back from donating plasma, I always enjoy doing something for others. now I want a nap because I didn't sleep well last night.

Debnu1 you are right I don't need to get on the scale and see a number, as long as my panst keep getting loser I am good :drinker:

Hi all...Been terribly busy lately and not much time to post. Congrats to everyone for hanging in. I'm off to boot camp this morning. Friday is our last official weigh in day and I am down 11.7 pounds, hopefully it will be a total of 12 for the 10 week program. We will meet a few days a week through the holidays and then start again in January. I think I will continue on. It is difficult to get it done in the morning when I should be working but I will manage. I"m afraid if I try to do it on my own I will fall off the wagon once again. Hope you all have a good day.

There is something extremely motivating about having someone wait for you--or making an appointment. It is easy to let yourself down, but letting someone else down isn't as easy. Keep it up Tammy you are doing awesome.

Smadag you are awesome! Keep up the workouts--especially if the firefighters are there. It would be fun to exercise while "watching" their workout. Or maybe I am a little crazy stalker....

I have decided I need to avoid the holiday section of the store. I have no self control around the candy--It is time to take control again!!

    Good afternoon all,

Tammy- you're doing an awesome job and way to work in a team. I know what you mean about not doing this alone. That's why I'm here with you guys every day, to give support, and receive it as well. We're going to do great.

smadag- that's super exciting, working out next to firefighters. Alot of power to you, and I know you can do it.

Debnu- Fruits and veggies are a great way to eat healthy. You can do it.

Did really well with the eating yesterday and today have my meals planned out. My clothes are getting tighter which lets me know I have fallen off the wagon...but this will help me learn that this is not a diet anymore- THIS IS MY LIFE. This is basically forever. I gained weight lately, but I know I can quickly lose it, because I gained it recently. I'm feeling good, empowered, and I know now what to do.

Have a great day all, and make it great!

I am kinda hoping the firefighters are there again tomorrow, I can't wait to go for my run in the AM. I just hope that I can sleep better tonight than I have the past couple nights.

Job hunting is wearing me out, I don't want to be gone for months at a time, I am hoping the application I just filed out comes through, it would have me home almost weekly and I wouldn't have to travel all 48 states

Hope yall are having a great hump day :drinker:

smadag, I hope for your sake the firefighters are there again.:flowerforyou:  :blushing:

I have so much housework I should be doing right now, but the computer is a little bit more fun.
I am not very disciplined right now. No wonder my eating is suffering as well.

    Take care everyone!

Hi all... It is beautiful here in SC today, supposed to be in the 70's again. I plan to paint the shutters and front doors this week before it gets cold again (if I can raise my arms). We worked sooo hard in class this morning. It was arms day and mine are aching. Tomorrow we will get our final weigh in for the class but we did measurements today. I am down a total of 13.75 inches (1.25 in right bicep, 4 in hips, 0.5 in neck, 3 in chest, 2 in waist and 3 in left thigh). I am really glad we did measurements. It was amazing to see the numbers. Hope you all have a great day.

Smadag...Good luck job hunting. My dad was an OTR truck driver while I was growing up. He was only home on Friday and Saturday. He drove all up and down the East coast.

Maylan...Great job on your workouts. You can do it!

Debnu...I know what you mean about the holiday aisle. I have such a hard time with the chocolate. I too am going to stay away from there!

If you don't buy it . you can't eat it...I need to remember that. My daughter is out of school today so we are going to work sorting and organizing today. Should be fun:noway:

    Have a great Friday!!

    Tammy congrats on your progress!

Smadag, I am sorry your workout wasn't as fun this time. But keep it up! Try icing your ankle and knee after you workout. It may help!

OK I have good news and bad news,

I got a job today with a trucking company, but my training will keep me away from home for 6-8 weeks and I know that during that time I will be very limited to my workouts and what I can eat. I am very scared and nervous. I know that this is the only way to get experience so I can find something local so I hope things go ok and I will stay in touch the best I can
  • YEAY!!! I actually remembered to weigh in this morning and have lost! YIPEEE!!!!! Off to pack more boxes and get ready for the office move!
