Tip Of The Day - Starvation

Never starve yourself, especially before going out to eat
(or you will binge). Don't skip meals regularly or your
body's starvation defenses will kick in, lowering your
metabolism and making you store fat. Whilst fasting is
acceptable when performed sparingly, constant regular
fasting will inhibit your weight loss success. If you
don't have time to eat then use meal replacement drinks
as a substitute.

Yeah, because people who die from starvation are SOOOOOO fat.0

People who suffer from malnutrition do tend to have big stomachs. My tip comes for empirical data. I'm just sayin.....!0

I think the message is really:
"There is no quick fix. You have to eat or your body goes into conservation mode which is exactly what you don't want. Eat sensibly for your goal weight and get to your goal weight in a way that doesn't put your body into shock."
Not everybody says it the same way. I got it anyway.0 -
Great tip, tcharrisjr! It's been said a lot but apparently this is the one tip that can't be overstated. I'm continuously amazed at how many people think they need to stop eating to lose weight.0

when i started my weight loss journey everyone was like you going to strave ok when i was 323 following a liquid diet i never felt staved at all. i'm 147 lbs now and i'm exerciseing and eat 1300 calories a day and im still losing weight and my body processes and burn fat way better. again it depends on the person. but i do belive it take a really long extended time for the body to "strave" jews were straving. and for people who are and were like me sometimes radical is the best way to go when your really overweight or obese as i was with a bmi of 50 eating health wasn't going to cut it mines was medically followed too. but the body is a survior and it very smart. and let face food addicts need to step away from food and really start over to start rewiring your mind which i have and am doing and it been a year and three months and all i eat is seafood and sugar stays out of my diet why?? because it a trigger food. i don't drink milk but i drink almond milk. all in all everybody body is different and if cutting is going to get you to goal fine but be smart in how you add the food back or you rebound ^_^0

Agreed
p.s. tcharrisjr, about the malnourished people with big stomachs... trust me, it's not due to whoppers & twinkies, rather the parasites living in their intestine, causing the belly to appear distended.0
