I've stuggled off and on again with my weight for about the last 13 years trying to find what works best for me. Ya know- everyones different. Calorie counting keeps me in check and I do better when I can actually see what I am stuffing in my face.
Fast forward for earlier this year and I am about 45 pounds overweight...I've just watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" (Joe Cross does a juice cleanse for 60 DAYS!), and thats when I bought my juicer. I starting juicing but nothing really stuck. It was expensive- time consuming- and the juice was not exactly edible... ( I was guessing and throwing items in the juicer- don't suggest you do that until you know what works best together!)
Now it's May 2014- I've watched the movie a couple more times feeling confident."I can do a cleanse!" 1 Jun- Day 1 of a 15 day reboot. I cut it down a day due to Father's Day, but it worked out! I had to watch the film quite a few times during the two week journey to stay motivated. Following juicing receipes is much better and now I have basics down I am back to "guessing" my own.
FINALLY SUCCESS- juicing has made me feel more energized, healthy, and awake. I no longer wake up in the morning groggy and feeling sleep deprived- I wake up ready to move! I lost a total of 12.3 lbs in 14 days- 28% of my whole weight loss goal. I will continue to reboot every other month for 5 days and then quarterly for the 15 day program.
Finally, I have found my weight loss niche.
Here's the link to the movie as well as the Rebooting with Joe website:
