Water retention in muscles?

Hi everyone,
I'm sure that this has been answered before but I'm going to ask again because I don't know the answer. I have been running for several years and take a day off about every two weeks. Five days ago I got a bad stomach bug so I took four days off and finally ran again this morning. I know that you shouldn't weigh yourself obsessively (I'm working on that) but I did weigh myself tonight and it is over 1.5 pounds more than I weighed in the morning. I never lose much over night either so I'm definitely going to be up. The thing is I ate right at my TDEE -10% so I have no idea how there could be a gain. I've been eating normally for three days and drinking tons of water and I've maintained but yet I gain the day I start running again? So it it possible to have water retention in your muscles?

Definitley possible to retain water - and I reckon its more likely to happen if youve taken a few days off your normal routine. Ignore the scales - they lie!!!:)0
