Almost back to square one

Hello. I'm back to MFP after an absence of more than a year, back at the weight I started at.
How foolish I was. I got into a nice rhythm and my weight was reducing nicely. Got into some good eating habits. But logging on and checking in and entering all my food and exercise data was taking up a lot of time [EXCUSE]. I figured "I've got this now. I can do this without spending all this time on the web site."
So I fell perfectly into the trap that I created. Bad eating habits started creeping back in, but because I didn't have to record them there were no immediate repercussions. And chips taste gooood. And beer tastes gooood. And slowly but surely my weight crept back up.
MFP will save me again! I will be stronger than my excuses.
The reason I started this was osteoarthritis in both my knees. Too heavy. Knees worn out. They're painful again now. Last summer, when I lost all that weight, they stopped hurting. I want to get back there.
About me: 44. British, but have lived here in Japan for 20 years. I cycle a lot, including 40 km commuting most days and recreational rides on the weekend. But without help from you guys and gals it's really easy for me to make bad eating and drinking decisions.
I'm looking forward to supporting you supporting me. Wonderful community!
