Lifting weights

Options
Hello!

I am really interested in learning more about lifting weights and how to do it properly.

I am fit, run, go to the gym, lift a few small weights for arms etc.

Can any one point me in the right direction for a website which might be able to help a beginner?

Thank you! x

New Rules of Lifting, StrongLifts, Nerd Fitness or Girls Gone Strong all have good beginners programs.

Whichever gym you go to, I would see about getting a free training session. It's one thing to see and read about lifting weights and a whole other to have someone correct you as you are actually doing it.

I took an introductory course crossfit and, while not free, our coach caught me making some mistakes which I don't think I would have noticed just from watching videos online.
