Hi! Has anyone had a tummy tuck & lost a lot of weight after? How did you abdomen look after the tt. & weight loss. I'm about 50lbs from my ideal weight. I've list 54lbs so far but have plateaued & I have the chance to do a tummy tuck now. I'm afraid if I get the tt now I'll loose the tightness of the abdomen if I loose a lot more weight after
TIA!
TIA!

Hey, feel free to check out my pictures. I had a tummy tuck in January at 90kg. They removed a good 4kg of fat. I'm currently 79kg, and still have another 10-15kg to lose before I'm at my goal weight. Because I hadn't finished losing weight beforehand, I still have some loose skin on my tummy when I'm bending forward or on my hands and knees, I'm planning on having more surgery later on, so I will no doubt need a vertical tummy tuck to pull it all in when I'm finished losing weight.
I don't regret having it when I did, as the difference it has made to my clothes and appearance and just general life is amazing! Be prepared though, I have a very high pain tolerance and the first few days were sheer hell!
And just as a side note, the before and after in my pictures is taken a week after the surgery, so it was incredibly swollen! The same underwear was worn in both pictures, and as you can see in the before pic, they aren't even visible!! I will put a more recent picture in there soon! Looks better now there's no tape on it and the scars have healed up and the swelling still comes and goes, but it's much better!0 -
Wait till you get to your goal weight, then you can also get rid of any excess skin. If you do it now then lose a substantial amount of weight your results won't be as good.0

I am set to have a tt in 16 days. I still have a good amount of weight to lose but was told by multiple docs that after two csections, weight loss, gain then loss again that my "apron" is causing more problems for me and that getting it done now will help me be able to work harder later on. So I opted to do it. I do think that this will help me complete my journey.0
