The next three weeks could get tricky

At 04:00am in the morning I'll be getting up and walking across the road to the airport to fly out to Bangalore. So I won't be eating my normal foods, I won't be doing my normal exercise routines, I won't have the same weighing scales as I usually use, and as I'll be working 5 days a week, I won't be moving around much during the day either.
Fortunately the hotel has a gym which I can use (as long as I'm not too wiped out after a mentally challenging day). The problem I am going to have though is estimating the calories etc from the meals. When I'm at home, I can read the labels, I can weigh food, and I can get a reasonable estimate of what's going in. Out there, I don't have the same resources to hand, so it's going to have to be pure guesswork!
Although the calorific input is going to be a bit of a challenge, the daily walk to and from work (about 15 minutes each way) should help, as will the workouts in the gym. When I go away, I'm Billy no Mates, so I just stick the ipod on, wire myself up, and lose myself on the machines
I'll be interested to see whether or not I lose weight / inches while I'm away. Pity I'm not going to Dehli though, because I ALWAYS pick up a bug there, and that sheds pounds like nobodies business LOL
I'll be back ;0)

It is tough to eat out and be away from home. Here is a suggestion, though. When you order food, portion off half and put it in a to go container. The servings that most restaurants serve are at least twice the amount any one should eat. So, even if you can't calculate the number of calories, you can at least eat more healthy. Also, try to eat the kinds of food that usually have less calories i.e. fish and/or chicken without any breading or sauces, lots of veggies, fruits. Try really hard to avoid things like pasta, potatoes, breaded anything, etc.
Good luck with your time away.
