    it gets me too, and i love the sport. i wish it was a little more like baseball. when the batter gets hit with the ball he shrugs it of and takes his base.

    but baseball, football, and hockey have the benefit of many on field refs and umpires, and in some cases video review, and play stoppage for a quick break. soccer doesn't. so the players often have to ham it up to get some sympathy from the ref to get a penalty called.
