Mine is currently set at
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner

Breakfast, lunch, & dinner. If I eat after a meal, I just add it to the meal before.0
-
I don't have it broken into meals, it's all just dumped into the diary like slop in a trough.
Haha! I used to do that. My only meal was listed as "today" and I just put everything there. But now I like to break it up, makes it easier to see that I'm not eating a lot in one sitting which used to be an issue for me.0 -
I added Snacks AM and Snacks PM. So, it looks like:
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Snacks AM
Snacks PM
Maybe I should change the order because Snacks AM is between Breakfast and Lunch, Snacks PM is betweens Lunch and Dinner. Though, snacks is for me an extra that should be a fruit or a drink but sometimes is something else. I like to control the snacks calories and meals calories.0 -
I have breakfast, lunch, dinner, work snacks, home snacks and drinks other than water. Works for me0

I have
breakfast
lunch
tea (dinner)
Snacks
Workout snacks
Juices/smoothies
I have just added juices smoothies because i am trying to increase my fruit and vegie intake to try to combat andrenal fatigue so i have added a juice before breakfast every day.0 -
I used to switch mine around a lot until I found what worked best for me. Mine are:
Morning
Noon
Night
I would get all obsessive over which one to log it under so I went pretty simple. At some point I might adopt the food suggestion as I'm not looking to necessarily track when I'm eating something.0 -
I haven’t deviated too far from the defaults, except I have added a section:
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Treats\Booze0 -
Mine is pretty simple

Hi,
I have
Breakfast
Morning Snack
Lunch
Afternoon Snack
Dinner
After Dinner
Almost never used "After Dinner".
I always eat 6 meals a day
Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper0 -
I just learned that you can go into the settings and rename your meal categories. A lot of times I have a hard time deciding what meal category I should log something into (Especially on days where I work at 4 AM and have "lunch" at like 9 AM and then a second lunch or heavy snack later in the afternoon), so I decided to delete all meals and just sort by time.
I have:
Wakeup - 10 AM
10 AM - 2 PM
2PM - 6 PM
6 PM - Bedtime
I might try changing it around some more after a while to see what I prefer.
How do you guys have your diaries set up, and why do you have it set the way you do?
OMG! I didn't know you could do this!! Awesome! Thanks for the info!0 -
I don't have set meal times so I just numbered mine:
1
2
3
4
5
60 -
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Snacks
Protein Shake
It's not set up in the order I eat them. Snacks includes my pre-workout snack (MWF) and afternoon snack. The timing of my protein shake varies depending on what day it is.0 -
Meals
Snacks
Beverages
(Beverages should really just be titled "beer")0 -
Breakfast
Morning Snack
Lunch
Afternoon Snack
Dinner
Evening Snack0 -
I have Breakast - AM Snack - Lunch - PM Snack - Dinner - Evening Snack. But, I don't get all stressed out if sometimes (weekends especially) I eat and log something that could fall into another category. Breakfast is usually just coffee and vitamins anyway . I could probably simplify it, but that's more trouble than it's worth since it's also fine as-is.0

When I first got to mfp, I set mine to time periods instead of meals for the most part -
8AM-12PM
12PM-5PM
5PM-9PM
