Insecure spouse after becoming confident..

Ugh! This makes me INSANE!! No matter how reassuring I am with him, hes become this super depressed and depressing person. Weve been together over 6 years and have a daughter, but I have been feeling as though he is wanting to drag me down bc I now get a LOT of attention when we go out. NOW its gotten to the point where he is snooping through EVERYTHING of mine and making accusations when I go to the gym, track, or wherever.. anyone else ever dealt with this?? Im ready to throw in the towel on this relationship!!

Have you talked to him about it? Considered couples counselling?

i havent personally but if you go through the forums you'll see many similar posts. try to talk it out with him, let him know youre doing this for yourself and noone else, if he's really that insecure about it then get him to tag along with you to the gym so he can work on his own fitness

has he actually said anything about it or can you just tell from his body language that this is how he feels?

I had a popular topic last week about spouse sabotage. Just to add to my comments on that topic, I had a killer day on Monday trying to get back in the swing of things. Strong workout in the morning, good diet and then sweated my *kitten* off doing yard work for 2+ hours Monday night. I get done around 8 PM and my wife says she ordering dominos (for the kids). I am very weak when it comes to food, especially pizza. I break down and have 2 slices. Arrghh!

I worry about our goals, interests becoming vastly different and wonder if I will find myself being more physically attracted to a more fit person. I know that sounds bad.
