Walks around the world.

Options
I have been trying to think of fun challenges to help me get motivated to get off my bottom and start exercising frequently.

I have come up with walking around the world.
The basic idea is to choose a famous river, landmark or distance between two places from anywhere in the world and try to walk it in the quickest time possible before moving on to the next one.

So far I have the following challenges:
Inca Trail and Back – 52mi / 84km
Hadrian’s Wall – 73mi / 117km
River Thames – 215mi / 346km
Lands End to John O’Groats – 838mi / 1,349km
Mississippi River – 2340mi / 3,766km
Route 66 – 2,448mi / 3,940km
Nile River – 4,258mi / 6,853km
Great Wall of China – 13,170mi / 21,195km

If anybody would like to add a challenge or join in I have created a group.

I've always wanted to do something like that here in Australia but never had the chance. Great idea.

The point is to just track actual distances you walked wherever you are and then compare it to the landmark and try to get to the "end," right?

I would totally be in if you want to add me. I've been trying to walk a lot more, and I've got a Fitbit which gives me distance totals each day so it would be super easy for me to track.
