This morning I put on my XL winter jacket to take the dog out for his walk. This time last year I had to suck in my belly and have my husband zip it up for me. I noticed that I could zip it up and grab lots of loose fabric. While walking the dog I saw my shadow and realized for the first time in many years my arms were down at my side and not at the usual 45 degree angle . This memories came to mind and made me giggle during the whole walk.
Life with Louie a cartoon the voice is Louie Anderson he is a little kid in a thick winter jacket, a person of authority tells Louie to put down his arms which are at a 45 degree angle, and Louie says they are down. His voice and his intellect for a kid cracks me up. If you have seen it and have or have had arms at a 45 I bet you find this funny too. Just wanted to share it is little things like this that keep me motivated.

It also reminds me of the Christmas story. The poor kid falls down and can't get up because of his bulky snow suit. His arms wouldn't go down either but stuck straight out. Good for you!!!! I am so happy you are happy. That is a big deal!!!!!

I did the same last week! Pulled out a coat that didn't previously fit well and it fit better than well! Great job on that victory!
  • Congrats! It is the "little things" that keep us going - but hey, I say that is a GREAT accomplishment. You have noticed a body change for the better. That is huge! Good job!

I can sooo relate to the arms thing. I had that same experience the other day when I realized they were actually hanging flat while walking my dogs. Yep....it is the little things that can really keep you going.....just keep your eyes open to see them! :flowerforyou:
  • The 45 degree thing is funny! I always think I look like a TRex with my little hands hanging off of my huge arms!

I bought a new (NICE!) coat last year at Black Friday sales. I'm wearing it again this year... but I sure hope I can give it away to someone who needs it by next winter!
