Juice cleanse?

I'm starting fresh on my weight loss journey and completely turned my eating around from eating out almost two times a day everyday to only home cooking and veggies and protein, etc. I also only drink water now. My question is, would a juice cleanse help get me started or is there really a point to it at all? If it helps, how long would you do it? Thanks!

don't. You will do better just eating a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water. Your body will cleanse itself.

    No. I wont.

    Cleanses are a waste.

By drinking water and having functioning organs is all the cleansing you need.

no real point, it may clear out your digestive tract but it will fill up again once you start eating food again. i would just jump right into watching what you eat and exercising

    Don't do it!

    Have lots of patience.

Log your food accurately and honestly. Go for 80% good choices the other 20% don't worry so much about. I eat lots of delicious food and have consistently lost. Keep it simple find a REASONABLE deficit: Most people do not need to eat 1200 calories to lose.

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

Log your food accurately and honestly this thread will help:

Find an activity you enjoy doing - I found I love to ride my bike and lift heavy stuff :)

I was considering doing a 7 day Juice plan as I am a salad dodger but decided against it. However what I have done is eat normally through the day trying to cut out fried and processed food (which as we all know is not easy) and in the evening I have a juice which is called Super Chute Juice by the Juice Master it is the most fruit and veg I will ever eat in a day. If I go to the gym then I may have a couple of eggs on toast or no added sugar peanut butter on toast.

This is so I am getting as many nutrients as possible without doing some crazy fad diet.

Totally agree with what other people have said about drinking water I try to do 1.5 litres a day still having coffee in the morning.
