My boss was singing "The Cup Song" before she left the office today and now that song is stuck in my head.

    This is called an "earworm." An annoying song that plays overrrrr and overrrrrr again in your head. Wikki has a really good article about the phenomenon. I went for a week with a yukky Taylor Swift song in my head... It was so painful!

    There was a Spong Bob episode about earworms and the song was "Musical Doodle". It was bad, but last weekend my son created his own earworm after watching the "Abrasive Side" episode. He was singing it over and over in the car until I asked him to stop.

    I used to get the song Wrecking Ball stuck in my head. I would go hours without singing it and then "BOOM!" I would think "I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BAAAALLLLLL!!!!"
