carbs, fiber and sugar???

From what I have gathered through all the nutrition I have done over the past couple of months, grams of fiber should be subtracted from the total amount of carbs. And, if a food has only natural sugar in it then it won't be counted on the nutrition label. The sugar gram count on nutrition labels is only 'added sugar'.
I still love this site but it would be great if they could incorporate this the total count of carbs and sugar.
