Is my gym pattern wrong?

Greetings all,
I've recently started going to the gym to help increase my fitness as well as to support my weight loss but I'm wondering if the pattern I follow isn't ideal.
I don't have a gym where I live but I do where I work which is around 10 km from home. As such the easiest thing for me is to go to the gym straight after work. I also do shift work which means my work week is six days on four off. As such my gym routine is the same.
My workout is mostly strength and resistance training. I am steadily increasing the intensity as my strength grows so it does seem to be working for me.
Interested though in any thoughts on this sort of pattern?
