Hello / Question

Hey everyone,

I've been on this site for a week after downloading the app. I'm quite enthused by the whole thing.

I'm keeping my diary open (feel free to critique) and plan on losing roughly 60lbs in time for x mas and a holiday to Brazil.

For my initial weight loss I plan on maintaining a caloric deficit throughout the weeks and splashing out a little to cash in on the 'saved' calories that I've spared during the arduous working week.

My question is; when calculating your age, height, weight etc, does MFP's calorie goal already take into account a caloric deficit?
