Hi all...
My story is not unlike many who have posted here previously. In a nutshell, I was an athlete in HS and College and was in great physical condition until my earlier 30's. Married life came along and I was happy and let myself indulge in overeating which in turn led to a decline in my previously active life. Fast forward 27 years, and unfortunately my marriage ended leaving me in quite a funk.
So now, I'm a middle aged guy looking to reclaim my life. Like I said, nothing new for many of us. Another truism often stated is that it doesn't get any easier as you get older. All that being said, I'm extremely motivated and have already begun to address my nutrition and lack of activity. I really enjoy reading the success stories of those who have met their goals but just as importantly those who work hard every day and are willing to share their ongoing efforts.
My starting point 6/2/14--->297.5
Current weight---->287
Goal--->150
Uphill battle, but I'm a realist and know that I didn't get here overnight and know its going to take a fair amount of time to get where I want to go. I look forward to sharing my trials, tribulations, and successes with you and thank everyone in advance for any support.
Good luck and health to everyone......

Hi Janet-St. Louis
61 yrs old trying to lose weight before total knee surgery in July. Strenghten my legs before surgery and eating healthy. I try to keep upbeat and focus on the end results. I want to continue with my YOGA after my surgery. I find pray is always a way to strenthen your decisions along with the physical part.0
