Hi everyone,
I am a former Soldier and now stay-at-home mom/daycare provider. I am 5'3", 34 years old next week, and I spent most of my life at 115-120 pounds. Now, I am up to 161.5, and I am on Week 3, Day 4 of T25. It is really great, and I love it, but I am wondering if my inches lost/weight loss is normal.
So far, I have only lost 3 pounds, down from 164.5, but I lost more than 10 inches each of the previous weeks. Most of it is from my mid-section. I have measured my forearm, bicep, upper arm, bust, natural waist, waist over belly button and what I not so affectionately call my pouch/love handles (anyone who gave birth to kids knows what I am talking about!!!). I also measured my hips, inner thigh, thigh and calf. I know these are more sites than normal to measure, but I really care about these parts of my body. I love lost 5 inches off my pouch/handles, 4 inches off my waist (bb), 4 inches off my hips and 1.5" off my natural waist...I also lost 2.5" off my thigh, and then increments off the rest.
I started out with 37" on my waist (bb), 42" on pouch/handles, 43" hips and 24" thigh.
Is this normal? What can I expect from here on out? I use the Raw Meal replacement (it is awesome!), and I drink a ton of water. My diet is pretty healthy, but I am wondering why I haven't lost any more pounds. Also, my husband said most of my inches are from water weight. Is this right? 5 inches of water weight off my waist? How much water weight do we really carry over our whole body that we can lose before it becomes loss of fat inches?
Should I expect to see a pretty big drawdown of inches from here on out and more pounds lost? When will my metabolism kick in? I was pretty sedentary for about a year (except for running around after kids), and had really let myself go. I can definitely tell that my muscles are toning back up and my waist feels a lot firmer.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!

Well here is what I went through
I just completed Alpha and Beta and starting Gamma next week. Most of the time after week 3 of Alpha I would do double workouts Mon Wed and Fri. Then about 2 weeks into beta, I started running 4 miles in the morning and then a t25 at night. My cardio fitness went through the roof.
I am 5'10
Starting Weight was 226
Current weight is 208
My pants size went from 38 to a 36 and almost a 34 now, HOWEVER my measurement from my waist around the naval has not changed at all. Its strange.
My chest measurement went down quite a bit. about 6 inches. Went from XXL shirt to Large.
Thighs actually grew about 1.5 inches. I would suppose from all the damn hop hop squats.
You are exactly right, I am feeling firmer everywhere.
I would like to get my body fat measured just to see what its at
I was eating at about 1500 calories as well.
Hope this helps Good Luck0 -
Congrats!!! That is really great!
I can tell I have gone down from a size 12 pant to a size 10...everywhere but my inner thighs. They have only decreased .75 of an inch! While my thighs have gone down 2.5 inches!!! What gives? It is so strange.
I have had so much energy from doing T25 in the morning, plus the protein shake, that I even bought Rockin' Body to supplement when I feel like doing an extra workout in the evening. It is pretty cheesy, and a little strange to go from Shaun T of Insanity/T25 to Shaun T of the 2008 version of Richard Simmons. LOL! But it is a lot of fun, and the ab workout is a 10-minute wonder!
I think my thighs will actually go up .5 inch or so as Total Body Circuit (have to put bleach water solution on the exercise mat after that workout to clean off all the sweat!) is twice this week.
I have only 1,200 calories a day, and that is really hard to stay under as everything has a lot more calories that I thought. I will have to get an HRM to make sure I can get the calories burned more accurate as this site does not have T25 listed.0 -

Here is my story, Hello I would like to introduce myself, my name is Robert and I have completed Insanity, P90X, Les Mills Combat and now I am doing BodyBeast T25. Insanity is a tough program and it was my first program since I didnt have to have any equipment made it nice. I had most of my results below from this program. Well I started looking at why I wanted to get in shape, asking myself one important question "WHY". I decided that it was for my girls and that I wanted to be around for them to graduate and get married and hopefully one day grandkids. Once I committed to that I chose to follow Insanity, and then P90X and proceeded to lose 60 lbs and 10 1/2" on my waist in the first 120 days. I just had to make the chose to when I went out with friends that I would stick to the plan that I had put into place for myself. Before I started I had high blood pressure, High Cholesterol, Major depression, and High levels of Anxiety taking medications everyday and at times saying I don't want to do this so I would stop taking them which you all know is and was bad for me. I then started the programs and felt a different release of energy that I had not felt before and wanted to keep that feeling going. I soon was able to stop the Medications for better reasons since all levels were normal again. I still take the medications for depression and anxiety because it is a chemical imbalance that I will always have to take but not for reasons previously described. With this I soon decided to be a coach with Beachbody wanting to share all my results with others and that anyone can do it if you put your mind to it and commit. I have since completed two rounds of Insanity and 2 rounds of P90X and have moved onto other now keeping the weight off for the most part. I used to be a size 40 inch waist and now I am a size 34" not where I want to stop but really a big improvement. I also drink a meal replacement shake Shakeology everyday for lunch at work which helps c ontrol my cravings and helps me not want to just snack all the time instead of going out and spending money on something that is not good for me. It will never be a get quick slim program by any means but it is a healthier lifestyle that I am trying to show for my daughters. Hello Selee I can understand your strength in wanting to lose weight I admire you for being strong enough to take the first step. Here is my story and I am a coach with Beachbody and would love to help you achieve your goals.0
