The all in one dumbbell that you can adjust weight

are they worth it? I am looking to do more training at home while doing the T25 workout series and I wondering if I should be getting one of those

I love them, totally worth it if you do a wide variety of exercises with different weight or are starting up or sharing them and don't have space. I just wish mine went above 55lbs :(

I bought them YEARS ago when they were new and trendy and they were actually pretty convenient especially if space is an issue. They are more cumbersome than regular dumbbells and you should play with them a little before buying since they do limit some potential grips and movements but all in all worth it for me in a small house at the time.

Sadly, they still cost far more than they should be given that they only have all the metal of a single 50 lbs weight but often run as much as a whole set.

I bought a set of Powerblocks and if you plan to buy a wide range of dumbbell weights they will be more cost effective and take up MUCH less space. Mine go from 15lbs to 50lbs each in 2.5lb increments and are quick and easy to change. I can also buy expansion kits to take them to 70lbs, 90lbs and 130lbs each but have yet to do so. They are durable (10 year warranty) and easy to use. I quite love them.

I have the Powerblocks that go from 5 lbs to 70 lbs with 2.5 lb increments. They were NOT cheap but I love them.

That's my biggest issue with them. It's not like its some sort of advanced cutting edge engineering either... just more convenient than the alternative. It's just 100 lbs of metal and stickers when it comes right down to it though.

If you end up going regular dumbbells, craigslist is a great way to get a set on the cheap. People hate moving weight sets.

If you're thinking about getting a power rack to barbell train too, I'd just got with olympic dumbbells. Get the weights off craigslist or a second hand sports store like Play it Again sports.
