Counting calories we workout and sweat.
Hoping that thinner we'll get.
To be the bell of the ball
For once and for all
Tell all that in you did doubt
Be on the look out
A new you is coming about
it's late I gave it a shot :-P0 -
Thank you for the valiant effort! I like it.0

Confidence is what we strive for,
pushing ourselves a little bit more
everyday to feel a change.
But there has to be an exchange.
We give up what we once knew
and find something new to chew.
Healthy makes us feel good
and puts us in a better mood.
I, too, gave it a shot! :laugh:0 -

This is not for my current boyfriend/love of my life. In fact, I don't remember who it was for:
My love is like a red, red rose
with thorns embedded in his toes
from all the times he did not see
how he walks all over me0 -
There once was a child lost and alone,
No family, no friends, nowhere to call home.
He waited to hear words of kindness,
He waited for some helpful guidance.
He was convinced one day he'd be good enough.
Years passed before he finally gave up.
P.S. Just wrote that on the spot. Apparently my mind is in an unhappy place. I need chocolate.0 -

I sit here in this chair and ponder
A poem to put to words
No matter how much I think and wonder
All I can hear is those damned birds
So that in mind I bid you goodnight
And so drag myself from sight.
To bed
To bed
Until tomorrow when I break bread.
Night!0 -
Love poetry! Here's something a bit less serious and rhymes! My other stuff is all feelings and stuff and well that's just not fun!
I think this was actually part of a song I was writing at the time ha.
i pulled into the city, looking to grab a drink
i asked the waitress the meaning of life she said 'what do you think?'
i said 'i asked you first,' she said 'it's all a game
people come and people go, in the end it's all the same
there's no sure things in life' she said
'and now how about you?'
i finished up my drink and said
'i'm just a stranger passing through'0 -

Also,
I don't know your story,
You could be the prince or the villain.
If you're the prince,
Let me be your princess bride.
If you're a villain,
Then I can be Bonnie and you can be my Clyde.
I don't care as long as the story ends with me by your side.
You are a phantom in my mind,
Haunting my thoughts and dreams.
A shadow, following along as I discover
Where I want to be.
Your voice is a mystery,
But your words are already written across my heart.
I am yours.
We're strangers,
But I love you.0 -
How about a haiku dedicated to the weather?
Too hot to breathe in
The sweat is now my best friend
Begone, sun, begone!
can you tell I'm not a summer person?? :laugh:0 -
On a more serious note, this is one I wrote when someone close to me passed away...
Who's to tell me I can't love?
It's merely for me to decide
And who's to say there's no angels above?
For when I see you, all my demons hide
Why is it these truths keep us so close
And at the same time pull us apart?
I try not to think on it, for what matters the most
Are the sweet markings you left on my heart
But when the day came you were taken away
Your soul left with little more than a sigh
What soul left of mine, forever did stray
When I realized the last angel died...
RIP, you know who you are and I know you're watching. Love you!0 -

That's all that needs to be said about summer. Heat and humidity? No thank you.0 -
I write a lot. But I am not one to whip a quicky out. I can, and it would be alright but if you want a good one it needs to be from the soul. So on that note...
DON’T FORGET ME!!!
the sign slashed open in the crimson sky,
clipping the edge of an existence, any really.
The breathe of longing, yearning labours inward
and out it turns to vapour in that crimson.
Less a cry for help more a cry in a forgotten well
So deep the chambers of regret
Filled solely with tears of hopelessness and remorse.
And now from that well we drink to never
Forget. Don’t Forget.0 -
a lot of people don't exactly know what poetry is
So are you a publisher, or have you been published? Enlighten us. I think this type of expression is great!0
