Last week I barely worked out and lost the same amount of weight that I lost the previous weeks when I really killed myself working out. Does working out really help in the weight loss process, or is it all about what you eat?

It is both. I have run into the same thing, but on my non-working out days, I am more careful of my calories. My guess is my body is burning fat to repair itself.

You absolutely need both calorie tracking and exercise. If you don't exercise, you will lose any muscle that you do have. Muscle in your body burns more calories over the course of the day.

You can lose weight, but not be fit. Your heart, lungs and arteries all need cardiovascular workouts to do their jobs properly. Exercise in conjunction with proper nutrition is the way to make your body the healthiest & best it can be.

First of all, I love working out because it is a good stress reliever for me. Plus, your body continues to burn calories after you've worked out, not just during. Here's an article if you want to learn more: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0846/is_8_21/ai_83911021/. I personally also like to work out because that means I can eat more food, and it's easier to stay on track. I found that when I didn't work out, I was going over my calories goal everyday, and I wasn't losing weight. Good luck!! :]

Perhaps there's a manageable medium between killing yourself at the gym and not working out at all? No need to torture your body into transforming. LOVE yourself with exercise. Do something that isn't insane that you enjoy.
