Should I still exercise if I feel faint?

Today I had planned to do a 10 km run but I felt really light headed and whenever I stand up, my vision blacks out for a bit. I had just recovered from a day of vomiting and fever a few days ago so I don't know if I should just rest today or go for a run because I haven't really done much physical activity this week due to my illness.
And I feel weird if I don't do my runs. What should I do? Should I take an extra rest day? I've been doing light activity the past few days like taking long walks but it doesn't feel enough for me... Today, however, with the light headed feeling going on, I'm kind of afraid that I will faint on the streets...

I've never felt this weak and lightheaded before so I'm not sure what to do. Please help!

    No.

Rest. Recover. Re-hydrate. Get some food.

    Come back stronger another day.
  • I'm not being funny, but if you were sick recently, take it easy. I got really sick a while back and had an entire week off exercising to recover. Your body needs to rest; by exercising (especially intensely) you'll probably stall the recovery process!
