readjusting goal weight

Well, I have to admit that when I set my goal weight I just figured I'd be lucky to get anywhere near it. Fortunately, MFP has provided me with the tools so for the first time in many years (even decades) I have been able to acheive slow and steady loss. I actually lost some weight before I found this place, so I have been able to lose close to 20 pounds.

However, now that I am close, I realize that the weight I was going for just isn't going to do it for me. It puts me into a healthy BMI, but just barely, but the thing that really bugs me is the "muffin top". It isn't completely gone and I want it to be.

So, I reset my goal down another five pounds and hope that I can continue losing. I am older than many of you and have some physical problems, so it hasn't been easy getting this far. I must say, it was daunting to see that ticker go from "almost there" to pretty far away again. :ohwell:

But thanks to all of you that "put it out there" with your struggles and your successes. It helps keep me going.:flowerforyou:

I also set my ticker to a lower number a couple days ago. I have been so pleased with my progress, that I think maybe I can do this! This is the first 'program' that has ever worked for me, so I think I am going to go-for-it! Good luck to you!
