I just need to do this!

I am always looking for one way or another to have a miracle weight loss... try anything but what ACTUALLY works.. hello... like just eating right and exercise... but it's so hard! So if anyone can help me kick my own butt into gear, I'll be happy to help in return.
I just have to keep saying to myself 'I CAN DO THIS"...

Your topic subject line says it all. You just need to do it. Don't think about it being hard. Just do it. We know you can, you know you can!

This (MFP) is the only thing that is going to work. It is hard work and dedication. Keep in mind that it never ends, you're changing how you live, exercise and eat from now on. Don't let that scare you because as it works you will find that you are on an incredible journey. I am at my proper weight now but I still find little things to work on or try. The best part is if you commit to this change and see it through you will never be "on a diet" again.

Thank you so much!!! I really need the push and motivation! I am 48 years old and have been dieting since I was 16.. so many different plans and so many different ways... they all worked... but it always came back... I need to FINALLY just STOP the Madness... LOL!!! lose it and keep it off... I am so tired of back and forth :(

I am hoping that MFP will be my last try and since it's what I should have been doing since the beginning, I know it will work... it's just getting there... I day at a time... I pound at a time :)

The most important things that have helped me:

    1. Focus on lean, quality protein and fiber, and the fats/carbs will take care of themselves.

    2. For fiber, I have 1-2 Chocolite protein bars/day. they have about 10g fiber, about 10g protein, about 100 calories, and are sugarfree/gluten free. You can get coupon codes off of www.retailmenot.com. The fiber and the protein help keep you full longer....or at least not always hungry.

    3. Drink lots of water. Drink lots of water. Did I mention....drink lots of water?

    4. Get a fitbit. It syncs with MFP. Once you set it up and sync it with MFP, there's a chart....go to the "dashboard", then click on "month". Scroll down just a little, and there's a chart that shows "calories in vs. calories out." As long as you burn more than you take in, you are GOING to lose weight. It's a fact.

One more tip that I have enjoyed. Get a Wi-Fi connected scale, mine is Aria from fitbit. I weigh each morning at the same time and it logs and syncs to MFP and FitBit. I don't focus on the small day to day fluctuations but look at the overall trends. It helped me spot that I was putting about three pounds on each weekend and losing them back on the first half of the week. I adjusted and really started losing.
