workouts and excercises for newbies

I've always had a problem working out- if I stayed the course with a diet(for a while) id almost never workout. my question is, for someone who needs to loose as much as me (about 90 lbs) , and who never works out, what type fitness plan would you recommend ? what would you start out with?

    Start slow with walking. Depending on your fitness level you could start with 15-20 minutes. Every week add 5 minutes until you get to 45 minutes. It can be first thing in the morning, during the day or after dinner. You can do it with friends and family, or take your headphones along. Once a 45 minute walk becomes normal to you, you can either up the intensity with a couch to 5k program or start doing an exercise video or start a gym routine. Make sure it's something you enjoy.


    This is the advice my Dr gave me. I'm starting my journey as well so I can't say from personal experience.
