breakfast ideas (non carb)

I am wondering what else I can eat for a quick breakfast instead of porridge/cereal etc...
I am worried I am eating too many carbs (not sure of the amount your suppose to have and have seen a bit online about carbs not helping you lose weight/body fat if you have too many) and I wanted new ideas (also am getting bored of the cereal and porridge I normally have), any advice/ideas would be great

p.s. please no negative comments

These are good suggestions. But you can eat anything you want for breakfast. It doesn't have to be porridge, cereal or eggs. Have a pork chop and salad or a bowl of chicken vegetable soup if that's what you like.

Although some people will go . . . "ahhhh; cholesterol!" I buy a dozen eggs, hard boil them all, and eat two for breakfast 6 days a week along with my coffee, Splenda, and 1/4 cup of almond milk.

I like scrambling up some eggs with veggies. My favorite is bell peppers. You can add some spices/flavorings as you wish. I mix in extra egg whites to pump up the protein without overdoing it on calories/fat/cholesterol.

I go through about two dozen eggs a week, I also like to have steak for breakfast. I can grill a steak and fry two eggs in about 10 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak, 4-5 minutes per side, and basted eggs take about 2 minutes.

I figured these out to have +/- 1g of carbs. Rest is all protein, fiber, and fat, baby!

(I figured it out with turkey sausage and green onion in place of pork sausage and green pepper)

ETA nutrition info: I worked it out with turkey per muffin: 122 kcal, 1.1 carb, 12g protein, 8g fat.

Carbs do not prevent you from losing weight if you have "too many," whatever that means, unless you have a medical condition. As long as you have a calorie deficit, you'll still lose (again, unless you have a medical condition). So you probably don't need to worry despite what the internet says.

A good low carb breakfast that you could make ahead is a sausage, egg, and cheese casserole. Cook and drain the sausage, scramble the raw eggs in a bowl, then combine with some cheddar cheese and bake. You could use a muffin tin and that would give you pre-portioned servings that you can just pop in the microwave. Add spinach, peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc if you're into veggies at breakfast.

    My fast breakfast....

    handful of spinach
2 hard boiled eggs - whites only broke into pieces
turkey sausage patty (I use great value 90calories and tear it into little pieces)
1./4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    and green salsa.

I layer it and microwave for 2 minutes and it rocks. I watch my carbs so this is a perfect, fast breakfast. I make it at work every morning.

I didn't read the responses so I hope you didn't get this one already.. but these are amazing and you can totally switch up the ingredients to keep them interesting and they are super easy if you're like me and always in a hurry in the mornings:

    http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/egg-muffins-with-sausage-spinach-and-cheese/

Mini frittatas made in muffin tins, with eggs, turkey sausage, spinach, and cheddar cheese. You can reheat these egg muffins in the microwave. A great breakfast on the go!
    Ingredients:

3 lean breakfast turkey sausage links
    5 egg whites
    2 whole eggs
    1/4 cup skim milk
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    1/4 cup fresh chopped spinach
1/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium skillet, brown the turkey sausage links on medium-high heat. Cook until sausage is brown all the way through. Cut sausage into 1/2 inch pieces. Set aside.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together egg whites and eggs. Whisk in skim milk and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in the chopped spinach.

    3. Grease 6 muffin tin cups with cooking spray or line cups with paper liners. Pour egg mixture evenly into the muffin cups.

    4. Distribute cheese and sausage equally between each muffin cup.

    5. Bake egg muffins for 20 minutes, or until the muffins are firm in the center. Remove from oven and gently go round each egg with a butter knife. Serve warm.

Note-you can store the egg muffins in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheat them in the microwave.
