knee friendly modifications

Question for all you trainer or PT types out there...I am adding the 7 min workout to my day for some resistance training that works with my life (I am already am very active with treadmill plus hiking with two impatient boxers (dogs, not people)). I am 59 years old and am two years out of a total knee replacement on my right knee plus some evidence of meniscal tears on the left that are really not symptomatic anymore since I've lost 15 pounds. Things are great w/my knees and I don't want to blow it. So my question is whether I should be avoiding lunges or any other knee-unfriendly components of the routine. If so, can you give me some good ideas of how to modify them to be knee friendly?
Thank you...Julie

stop lunges immediately. swimming, riding a bike, elliptical are all good on the knees. i have partial replacements in both knees. squats and lunges are out for me for life. if they are part of a video you follow, replace that part with upper body stuff or stretches or mountain climbers or burpees with limited jumping. your doc should be able to point you in the right direction when you go see him/her bc your knees hurt from of lunges. good luck.0
