Good afternoon all! I just logged on and am trying to find other people who are trying to find the motivation to eat properly and exercise to lose weight. I will be 50 next year and I want to get to a healthier weight! I quit smoking few months before I turned 40 so now I want to use that same motivation and lose this weight -(75 #'s to be exact!!) and I want to use my 50th birthday year to kick it all off!! I have an observation...if this website is called myfitnesspal....why is there advertisements of donuts on here??

Welcome to the site: Remember we are NOT dieting we are learning portion control. First thing you should do in your food diary is track sodium. Make sure you are staying within reasonable levels or that may hinder your weight loss. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you exercise you should eat at least some of those calories in order to continue on your weight loss. At least 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day!0 -
lol..Thanks Karen...when I write my posts I will look at the donuts on the side as a challege. I will check out the thread you suggested. It is always nice to connect with other people who are on a weight loss/healthy eating jouney! I have my 50th birthday/ family reunion/ trip to Cuba next year and really really want to not be self conscious of myself in photos!!0
