Menopause Madness

My name is Dottie and I 53 years old. I have been moderately overweight pretty much my entire life. In October of 2009 I reached my goal weight of 160 ( started at 225) and maintained it quite well for about 3 years. For the past 2 years, I have struggled with the same 10 pounds.
I originally lost weight on NutriSystem, so I tried it again. I lost 5 pounds in the first week, but then the next week, I started putting it back on! I went to Weight Watchers. I followed it faithfully and in 6 weeks, I lost 3 pounds. I have gained those back immediately, even though I still follow the plan as closely as I can..
I exercise 4 to 5 days a week for 45 min to an hour , either by jogging or doing Zumba.
I track on MFP and am almost always under my goal, and I take a day a week to eat whatever I want. I heard this keeps the metabolism going.
I talked to a therapist because I am so darn obsessed with this that i cannot enjoy anything! She said that the truth is, when you hit menopause, it is normal and natural for a woman to gain 5 to 10 pounds (or even more) and it will mostly be in the mid-section. This is exactly where I seem to be putting it on.
I see my diet is mostly carbs. The carbs are largely from fruit and vegetables. I have recently started using coconut oil and olive oil, because for years I have avoided all fats, and now I hear you need to eat fat to lose fat! I eat lean meats; mostly chicken and turkey or extra lean ground beef.
I drink a lot of coffee. I need to drink more water, Currently, I probably drink 6 - 8 glasses a day.
There you have my story. I need advice on something to get rid of these 10 pounds for once and for all.

I am so ridiculously like you - am 5'8", 183, held 163 for AGES after getting down from 220. I am 52 and just want to lose 15 freaking pounds. 167-170 would be fine with me. I've tried many different things, a month each time, and still end up right back at 183! Talk about a set weight! I would be fine if it was 173, but NO! Those ten or so pounds are a pain and yup RIGHT THERE.

I started zombies! run last night, have tossed all diets out and constructed a plan to eat things I like and try my darndest to eat smaller portions. It is frustrating! I hear your cry - that is why I stopped here hoping someone would have suggestions. :)

Hopefully someone will come by and say hey, you can make this work. :)
