Adding cario in the mix?

Hi everyone,
For a little over a month I've been doing the Body by you progressive bodyweight program. I do it 3 times a week (though I took some breaks but always picked it right back up) and I'm really happy about the strength gains I've made so far (it might not seem like much but I went from pushing up against a wall to a close-grip push up on a dining table and from sumo squats to bulgarian split squats for example).
The other day, I decided to do a cardio-type workout on my rest day, and I found that my endurance has reduced quite a bit (it was a Jillian Michaels video, banish fat boost metabolism, and I had to take quite a few breaks during the circuits).
My question is: Would you recommend combining the strength program with cardio exercise on the rest days? And if so what would be some good cardio workouts I could do at home?
I can't run because my feet will bother me (my heel and underside of my foot, don't know the word in english), but I have a (racing/touring)bike I can use if the weather's nice. I also have the Insanity DVD's and the Jillian Michaels ones. I was thinking for Insanity I might use the plyometric cardio circuit and maybe cardio abs, pure cardio and max cardio? Or are all the Insanity workouts suitable? I'd like to hear it from you

It just depends on what you're comfortable with, really. Keep in mind that adding cardio in, while accelerating fat loss and the obvious benefits to your cardio endurance, can also slow down your strength gains a bit. If a balance of cardio endurance and strength is important to you, then start working in cardio. If strength gain is really the most important thing to you right now, focus on that.0

Thanks
Though I'm really excited about the strength gains, I also have a lot of fat to lose so I'd be fine with slower strength gains to achieve that.0
