Hi! I am new on here (joined yesterday). I am a 5'3" tall female in my late 30's, and I am 180 lbs. I am really discouraged at what I have become. I used to be active. I used to love running. I was in the military and was physically fit. I got out of the military in '03 due to medical issues and have struggled with my weight ever since. The doctors put me on all kinds of medications that made my problems worse and restricted me from almost everything. I have finally gotten rid of most of the medications and have gotten the doctors permission to work out. I am starting with walking, and trying to figure out my diet. There are way too many plans and programs out there. Any help/input would be appreciated.

I would start by figuring out which type of exercise you enjoy. Cardio, strength training, running, etc... And then picking a program based on that. Good luck with your fitness journey!0
