I need suggestions for an andriod ap that is good with inclines and switchbacks as well as normal flat hiking and running. I currently use runtastic and it sucks with switchbacks and calculating distance on inclines. It was off by 4 miles on my last big hike.

    Try Endomondo, Runkeeper or Strava.

A lot depends on your phones GPS handling though.

I had issues with Endomondo (kept pausing, even when I was still running), I really like Mapmyrun, but have just bought a Garmin which I'm looking forward to using on Tuesday:)
  • Not sure if it's on Android but Runmeter is very good if it's available.
