Processed meat alternative.

Ok so I'm usually eating on the go at work and a sandwhich is usually the easiest solution. I've found low calories lunch meats but are high in sodium as all processed meats are. Any suggestions on a low calories substitute and low sodium?

Well you can find low sodium lunch meat, or you can make your own meat and just slice it thin I guess.

You can poach a chicken breast for chicken sandwiches or chop it up, add chopped apple, celery and mayo for a tasty chicken salad. That way you control the salt and fat.

Chicken salad sounds delicious today. When I make tuna/chicken salad now I use plain Greek yogurt or cottage cheese in place of the mayo and it comes out just the same.

Boar's Head brand deli meats have products that are much lower in sodium and (in my opinion) taste much better. They're not cheap - sometimes 2-3 times more expensive than store brands - but worth it!

I heard that Boar's Head had low sodium, not sure if I can find that where I am but will check it out.
