20 lbs to Lose and Doing it Starting Today!

Hi all,

I have 20 lbs to lose and I'm doing it starting today! I'm 166 and want to be 145 again! It would be amazing. I'm not sure why but I'm so unhappy when my pants are tight. does anyone else feel that their weight and the way their clothes fit determine their moods sometime? I think 10 lbs would rock and then if I could lose the rest I would feel amazing! And I want to keep at the goal and not sabotage myself.

Well my husband and mom are on board too. We are all weighing in tommorrow and keeping a posterboard in the bathroom. We all want to lose 10% of our body weight. I'll be tracking on my fitness pal and also working out a few days a week or more if I have time.

Any friends to motivate would be great!

  • Same here! I'd like to lose around 15... because exactly as you said, being able to wear nice clothes and look good really affects my mood :) I've been trying to lose some weight for a while, but it just hasn't worked... then i signed up for mfp and i've been good for the last 3 days at least, haha.
    I guess it's gonna be slow and steady, and i wanna stay motivated throughout :) first goal is -2lbs by July 1st. Goodluck with your goals, because you can definitely reach them with a bit of motivation!!

    Hi! My name is Kim and my weight loss journey began two years ago. I was at my heaviest (225) and things were not good. I couldn't keep up with my kids, I was tired all the time, and my doctor told me that my cholesterol was on the rise! I decided something needed to change. I started walking, and eventually doing some weight training. I am down over 75 pounds! I feel so much better, and I love supporting and encouraging people to do the same. I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I still have some weight to lose, so we can work at it together! Getting your nutrition under control is a big key to losing weight. I can share what has worked for me if you are interested. If you work hard, I know you can reach your goal! So what do ya say? Are you in?
