I am having SUCH an off day today, does anyone else get days where you just can't stop eating?!?! I'm still trying to eat healthily though but today i've pretty much used up all of my calories by lunchtime. Unless I exercise tonight - i won't have any left for dinner. I feel like I have really let myself down. I have lost a few pounds so far and I don't want them back. I fear today will ruin it all

I am so MAD with myself! but I can't help it! Any suggestions from anyone as to how I can get over days like these or any suggestions of what i can graze on without feeling guilty? Any advice would be really helpful.

Well..dont get discouraged...we all have those days...you could write it off as a cheat day and allow it to motivate you for tomorrow. I love grazing on soy beans aka edamame (90 calories per cup) can't go wrong with fruit....Wish I could help sorry hun

i get hungry days too. it's very frustrating. i keep no junk food in the house but i still end up pigging out on rice cakes, wheat thins w/ laughing cow cheese wedges, carrots and tuna, hard boiled eggs, etc...
what's helped me is to make a list of healthy snacks and tape it to the fridge.

My secret weapon is sugarless gum. I'm just too cheap to spit out a perfectly good piece of gum to eat something else. It also satisfies the urge to chew.

Sometimes I'll brush my teeth and floss. It's kind of a cue that the day is over and I'm done eating.

This type of day usually happens around a hormone shift. Experienced one 2 days ago. Chewed 4 pieces of gum.

Don't let one day ruin it all - you'll just get more upset. If you're like me, once you get that upset the whole diet flies out the window. I've been a grazer, too, and after reading so much about how you should have several small meals per day instead of 3 big ones, I thought that would be the answer for me. Wrong! I would ended up eating my 3 regular meals, plus a couple of little ones as well. So instead of eating fewer calories, I ate more. Now I've read (I figure if I read enough I will stumble on the answers!) that research has proven if you eat something at the same time every day for several days your body becomes conditioned to that and you will feel hungry at that time even when you are not. That made sense to me, so I thought maybe the answer was to stop the grazing altogether. Where this has made a difference for me is that period of time between 3:00 and dinner. It took a few days, but I realized yesterday that I didn't snack at all in the afternoon! That is a huge accomplishment for me! My next goal is to not eat anything after 7:00 p.m We'll see how that goes...

Thanks for all your support. Thankfully, i'm feeling better today and have started the day off with green tea and some fruit - so we're on to a winner today.

You're all so lovely - thanks very much :flowerforyou:
