Measurements

I have started taking my measurements and I want to be sure I am doing them correctly. Can anyone help? This is how I am doing things now:

Hips: Measure the widest part of my hip area, which is where I can feel my hip bones. For all the padding I have, I have really bony hips. Odd.
Waist: Measure the narrowest part of my torso, which is a good few inches above my belly button.
Bust: Measure around where my bra strap is, so just below my bresats.

And of course I suck in a little bit. :blushing: But I try to keep that at a consistant level.

Is that right? If I'm doing anything wrong, please correct me. I want to make sure I am being accurate. Thanks so much!

When I get measured at Jenny Craig, around my hips is like what you said. For my waist, I get measured where my belly button is and for my bust, is measured around the front of my breasts.

I've always measured my hips across my bum, in line with my crotch.

Waist, is across my belly button (trying to avoid sucking in of course, but it's tough lol)

Bust should be the FULLEST part of your breast, across your nipples. If you're measuring under your breast, you're measuring your ribs....which is always an interesting measurement to have (I also measure that), but I wouldn't say it's your bust measurement.

I also measure my shoulders, neck, right bicep, right though, right calf, and that rib measurement too.

OK, thank you ladies so much! I had a feeling those numbers were too good to be true, haha!
I don't even want to know my thigh and arm measurements. I think the others are depressing enough for now.
    Thanks!

The fullest part of the breast is the part you measure.I hear you about being scared to measure the thighs :p lol but it's great to see progress in numbers-even when the scale doesn't show it!Good luck
