    OP have you noticed that all the people who have tried to help you and gave you great advice have lost a lot of weight, think on that and then read the links!! :wink:

    Yes, I have read the links now! I read them all last night and with that, I took your advice and decided against the cleanse. I am in this for the long run.

    Is that too many calories or too few? My doctor said 1000 is a reasonable amount per day cause people generally underestimate their calories. She mentioned that if it think I'm eating 1000, I'm probably eating 1200

    Get a digital food scale that will help with accuracy, and that's too few 1200 is too few
    Even people with food scales and trained at how to track accurately are found to miss 25% of their calories on average.

    1200 is fine for many people. Listen to your doctor and your body. If you're losing a pound a week at 1000-1200 (logged values) eating more will slow it down. Which is fine, but you posted you were getting impatient so just be prepared to need more patience. Some people do find more patience when they eat more, though, too.
