The Thighs don't Lie...

So I don't mind most of my body. I know we al suffer from some sort of body image negativity in our lives, and mine would be my thighs. I am envious of those young ladies out there wearing shorts that barely cover their *kitten* cheeks and have perfectly smooth thighs. I long for thighs like that. Mine have gotten larger and are full of dimples and what I am assuming is probably cellulose. I took up running late last year and though this would help but to no avail as of yet. I do squats when I think of them but is there a special routine or format that I could use to get the best results to love my thighs again? I don't need perfection, but some firming action would definitely be appreciated...

cellulite is body fat... so lower your' body fat.
BUT.
BUT BUT BUT- no one has perfectly smooth thighs- it's a myth- and it's perpetuated by PS constantly.
I don't love my thighs- they are bumpy- and they have some cellulite- they make shopping for pants a huge chore... but I can still DL over 300- so I'm okay with it. Keep working on it- but don't set your expectations so high that they can only be achieved with make up and a computer program. it's not fair to you.0 -
Squats, squats and more squats.
I always believed or heard that cellulite was impossible to get rid of. Though that might be partly true, the more toned your legs are, the less apparent cellulite is.
I recently lost about 35 lbs and when I started my fitness journey, the front and back of my legs were riddled with cellulite. I have been doing CrossFit since last September and I have noticed that it has helped with the appearance of cellulite to the point where I can only see it when standing in certain lights and I'm looking for it.
Any kind of squat will help. Air squats (no weight), weighted squats, kettlebell squats, the more the better.
If you can consistently keep squats as a part of your daily routine, I guarantee you will see a difference after a few months.0 -
My thighs are cottage cheese consistently with bumps and bruises. But I still wear shorts proudly.
Why? Because this is my body and I've got to work with what I've got. Sure, you can improve it by dropping body-fat/tanning/body-brushing/lotions...but at the end of the day, make peace with what you've got.0 -

Follow one of the established full-body programs frequently mentioned here, like New Rules of Lifting, or Stronglifts. Don't just work your legs. Fat loss can't be targeted.
That plus a calorie deficit will get you results.0 -

I need to learn to do this. I sweat my tail off in the spring and summer to avoid wearing shorts as my thighs are the same way. its disgusting for me to look at so i cant imagine the thoughts others have when they see it i know i shouldnt care what others think but its hard not to.0 -
Squats and attitude.
The squats for your legs and butt, the attitude also for your legs and butt. Using a barbell to do them will help both your squats and attitude.0 -
I could have written your post. I hate sweating my *kitten* off because I refuse to show the world my thighs.
I am thinking I will do some squats!0 -

How exactly should I use the barbell? Should I hold it at waist level and squat with it against my midsection? Sorry still new to all this!!0 -

I agree with all the above!! Squats, cardio, body weight exercises, and weight training can all help!! I do a lot of everything and by being consistent my cellulite has lessened a lot!!!0

Even skinny girls can have cellulite. Running isn't going to do much to get rid of it. It'll just make your dimply thighs smaller...not less dimply(in my experience).
Squats (weighted), deadlifts, legpress, hamstring curls...my cellulite is almost gone. It's taken almost a year, but I've had major improvement...which I did not get from running.0 -

Hey man, we all start somewhere. I just started lifting weights again at the end of April. Good luck getting gorgeeooouus thighs.0 -
I have seen a big difference too in less cellulite due to squats, lunges, glute bridges etc. Now if i could get rid of the spider/varicose veins, i use leg makeup but its such a pain.0

Do what you can with what you have. Burn the fat, feed the muscle and work on your legs and butt with squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts and all the good leg movements. Eat well.
Genetics are a b*tch. Sure, you can make the most of it, but you will need to also learn to love the body that you have.0 -
