When will I see keto results?

Hi all, 6 days ago I decided I wanted to try a keto diet.
I have what appear to be the usual markers of ketosis - metal taste in mouth, sluggishness, generally achey, peeing lots and I test positive on te strips (I've already heard about the reliability but still.) mild irritability in the form of WHY DO PEOPLE NOT USE THEIR TURN SIGNAL
I haven't gained despite eating more than usual, but I see all these "I lost 15 lbs first week!" and I am getting impatient, haha. With the exception of today my macros have been pretty close. I have in to a moment of weakness and had ~36 carbs in a snack cake.
I feel like I am living off of EVOO and beef!
Edit: for reference, before I was eating upwards of 150, even 200 grams of carbs a day, maybe there is still too much stored?

I am by no means an expert, having just started on a LCHF path a few weeks ago. However, here's what I notice:
You've eaten a snack cake and pasta (twice), and breaded chicken on your so-called keto diet.
I fear that you are underestimating the number of carbs that you are eating & overestimating the number that you can eat to maintain ketosis. I'm keeping it under 50 and loving the results I'm seeing, without feeling deprived. (Eat more FAT!)
Also you're eating back a LOT of your exercise calories, which seem really high.
Prior to my "change" I was eating upwards of 400 grams of carbs a day. I lost ten pounds my first week (most likely all water). Is it possible that you have less water-weight to lose and are therefore not going to see that stereotypical jump-start?0 -
The snack cake was all me I will admit. I am laying around dreaming of bagel, ha.
The first pasta offering I felt an obligation to eat, because someone made it for me. The second round was a picnic event and one of the people working it put it on my plate. I tend to go through food anxieties so I made myself eat it lest the male becoe suspicious -- I had already ripped the buns off of everything. I had wanted salad but the bowl at our table was empty.
As for the exercise it was a rough winter :P I feel a need to be outside before it hides behind gray and snow forever again. I am also a maid for my job so I scrub and bend and lift and so on. I am not normally hungry after exercise but I can easily not feel hunger on 600 and so I have been trying to get out of that habit. It is part of why I decided to try keto -- I thought it may force me to eat more calories and hopefully be good to shake up this plateau.
I am not sure why I would have less water?0 -
Men tend to lose faster on keto than women. It's unfortunate. Also, you may not have a lot to lose to begin with, so you may see a slower rate of loss. Just keep with it, keep your carbs under 30(20 if you can help it), meet your protein goal and fill the rest with fat. Keep calm and keto on is all I can say. I'm down to the last 15-20 lbs to meet my goal and it's coming off VERY slowly. It's frustrating, but that's how it's supposed to go when you don't have much to lose.0

I dropped my carb intake from average 300g to about 150g and had the initial water weight loss. I was really shocked since I thought I was eating too many carbs to see any difference. I now average between 100-150g of carbs a day and can't manage to drop any lower without making myself feel really deprived. Most of my carbs come from verg, fruit and dairy (greek yogurt, cottage cheese) so to cut back on that would be really difficult. I'd only have cheese, meat and eggs.0

Lady - it is just not fair. They bulk AND lose faster? I assume they have a cheat code they put in at self creation. I am going to keep trying on carb restriction. The desire for carby goodness has been quelled with my cheaty food yesterday. For sure I need to eat some more vegetables, because eating this much meat will surely drive me insane. (I have done vegan before, so...)
Great - a lovely job for sure! I just weighed again this morning. No gain, but still no loss. I feel all muscle sluggish today and test positive for a large amount of ketones.
Breakfast was just cheese cubes; I have some ham now as well instead of just bacon and beef at the pity of others. Here's hoping! Do you guys find diet soda to screw with your keto? I hear mixed results. Maybe that is adding? I don't always log diet soda since most places count it as "free" and atkins seemed to as well.0
